"Great Performances" (WETA at 8) has "From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 2011," hosted by Paula Zahn, and features conductor Franz Welser-Most and the Vienna Philharmonic in a special concert to celebrate 2011.
The second season of "V" (ABC) begins, a remake of the '80s sci-fi series about a "visitor" invasion on Earth. ABC airs the pilot at 8, followed by the Season 1 penultimate episode (at 9) and finale (at 10).
